Internet Explorer &

After recieving SP3 via windows update(after several tries) for XP Media
Center Edition, IE7 wont work (cannot display the web page)for any site. I
tried many things to fix the problem, including some from the discussions.
Can somebody help?

Well... without knowing what you've tried...

1. Do you need to reconfigure a third-party firewall to allow IE7 to access
the internet? Updates for IE can make IE appear to be a new program to a
software firewall. Some firewalls will recognize that IE7 is a new program
and will ask if it should be allowed access to the internet- some won't ask.

2. With the warning that a reset will delete autocomplete data, such as
passwords and you will have to reinstall browser add-ons, work through this

3. 926431- Error message when you start IE7 or try to access a website:

4. Free installation and compatibility support is available for Windows XP
Service Pack 3 (SP3) until April 14, 2009.

If the ONLY change made was installing WinXP SP3 (i.e., you did NOT install
any Windows Updates after you'd installed SP3)...
