I can't access any web page through IE

Hey,

I had a problem that I can sign in my MSN Messenger, but I can't
access any web site throught IE or Mozilla Firefox.
I had check all the things in Internet Option such as Proxy and so on.
But it still remain the same.
Any suggestion to fix this thing?!

Shat if you uncheck the option to use a proxy?

anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall
(if any)?

We had a similar problem with several PC's. All were running different
versions of Windows XP. We did however finally find a fix to our problem
after three days. AVG 8 (AVG Watchdog was causing the problem). Unsure if
it was just a corrupted update file or what. Here is the fix if you are
running AVG. Go to a PC that has internet connection and download the
lastest install file for AVG 8.0. Install the file directly over the current
AVG install. No reboot required after install. As soon as you have it
installed you should internet again.
