IE not responding

I have IE7 on my laptop and Microsoft XP. Last night I shut my computer off
and ever since this morning every time I open IE it times out and I receive
the "Not Responding" error. I haven't changed any settings or updated any
software. I attempted to open IE without Add-Ons as well as reseting IE but
neither worked. Any suggestions?

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use (in
conjunction with some other utilities). HijackThis will NOT fix anything on
its own, but it will help you to both identify and remove any
