getting back button to go back to the last page but not to the beg
how do i get the back button to go back to the previous part of the page and
not to the beginning of the page... say like on ebay and I looked at an item
and then want to just hit back and go badk to that last spot where I left
off... right now it goes to the beginning of the last page?

By doing it that way you leave it mostly up to the site about
what you will see. When you know that you want to see exactly
the same thing again, the most effective technique is to open
a link in a new tab or new window, e.g. press Ctrl- or Shift-
when clicking on a link. Then you have several ways to "go back"
and need not lose any positioning information for the previous
view at all.
