IE and Flash

With Internet Explorer 6 (on Win2000) and IE 7 (on Win XP) when I visit a
site that has Adobe Flash, the CPU usage goes to near 100%, even on my 2GHz
2Meg-RAM WinXP desktop.

I do not have this problem with Firefox on any computer.

What gives? Am I missing a setting somewhere? Is there any solution other
than disable flash?

Use the uninstaller to remove all versions then install the msi:

Adobe Flash Player 10.0.12.36 5MB

http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get...0_active_x.msi

Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller

Sure, uninstall/reinstall is usually the "why not" solution, but I tried it
and it didn't work for me.
