Websites requiring username/passwords

Recently I did a complete system recovery on my computer, due to spyware
problems. Have since checked my computer and it is clean of spyware and
viruses. I have Win XP/IE7. Everything on my computer has been working
fine, except for most websites require me to enter my username and password.
Once I enter them, the website basically just refreshes and sends me back to
the login page. No error message given. If i type in the incorrect password
by mistake, then I will get an error message. I have not been able to get
past this login page. I do not have autopassword set up, and I have followed
the instructions given on this website -
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=813444
Any suggestions?

Let's say you're trying to enter your username and PW at www.smile44.com:
IE Tools | Internet Options | Privacy | Sites (button): Type in...

smile44.com

....and Allow cookies.
