How? Sometimes Middleclick makes something scrollable
which doesn't have scrollbars on it that otherwise needs them.
Alternatively you could try changing the resolution settings
for your Display properties, so scrollbars aren't required.
BTW what is your DPI setting? Symptoms such as this are
sometimes caused by having that set too high.

Good idea: changing the window layout. Another thing to try
on that tack is to clone the window, e.g. press Ctrl-N; sometimes
there are more controls available on cloned windows.
