FTP Request details.(IE7)
Dear All,

I'm on IE7 and a while ago, I remember when clicking on an FTP link, a box
would pop up and ask me for the username and password.....

Now for some obscure reason, IE7 just sends 'anonymous' to any FTP link I
click.

Is the a reason for this?

Regards
Paul.

Not really obscure at all. There was a change in IE7 to eliminate
the FTP Login As... File menu option. Now if you want to open
an FTP site which requires authentication you use Windows Explorer
instead.

Tip: defining an FTP site as a Network Place is a convenient way
to avoid the prompting.
