IE7 in web pages and blogging

I have used Firefox, and liked it very much, but it seemed my system wasn't
as stable, so on the advice of computer guru who checked out my system, I
downloaded IE 7, this week. However, now I cannot edit in an Internet site.
I was told that IE 7 does the same thing as Firefox, but it appears it may
have to be a much larger program.

I'm running XP Pro (don't want to replace scanner), IE7, OE6.++++++, Windows
Defender, Ad-Aware, Avast, and run SpyBot and Penicillin monthly.

Is it possible I merely have not found the preference in IE7 that will
indicate editing needs/spelling errors, etc.? Or, should I go back to
Firefox?

What do you mean; "...now I cannot edit in an internet site.." - are you
asking about publishing to a website?
What happens when you try...what error messages are you receiving?

IOW, please explain your problem better.
