IE 8 Beta 2 and news reader

I am using Outlook Express as my news reader. I have just down loaded and
installed internet explorer 8 beta 2 . Previously I was and may yet go back
to IE6. In IE 6 the mail icon on the tool bar had a drop down menu on which
was news that brought up the outlook express my news reader. Is there any
way I can get a similar result in IE 8 without going to the Windows Xp Pro
start ?
