Iframe won't display pdf file in IE 6

I have an IFrame that is supposed to display a pdf file through a .ashx file.
It works perfectly well in Internet Explorer 7 (the pdf varies dependign on a
selection in the main form) but the part of the page containing the Iframe
stays completely blank in Internet Explorer 6. Any idea?

To be more precise, I can display a pdf file in IE6, I can display a pdf file
in an iframe in ie7 but i cannot display a pdf file in an iframe in ie6
(src="....pdf").
