Blank drop down menus

Drop downs in IE7 SP3 show up as empty blue blanks , cannot see or select
from them. Example; the Post in Discussion Group on this New Question page is
blank. No choices show up when I click on the arrow. Any ideas. Just happened
after we got DSL, installed updates etc.

Any other examples? That is actually a "popup menu" and problems with it
and the associated window are often found to be resolved by disabling popup
stopper app's.
