Microsoft Update fails to install.

Security Update for IE7 for windows xp (KB938127) (size774kb) fails to
install. I keep getting the message that it is ready to be installed in my
system tray, but like I said, it will not install. Any suggestions on how to
get rid of it or a workaround would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you attempting to install it manually or via Windows Update?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed? What
anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall
(if any)?
