How to get rid of IE page startup

Recently I noticed my home page startup was replaced by IE's download page.
How do I restore my home page (my.aol.com) startup when I open IE? I see
that the correct link is still in the Internet Options dialog box, but it
doesn't automatically appear.

Always state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1) and your
IE version when posting to this newsgroup, please.

IE Tools | Internet Options | Advanced | Browsing | Automatically check for
IE updates (uncheck).
