IE8 B2 crashes with Exchange 2003 Outlook Web Access (OWA) on Vist

I've installed IE8 beta 2 on Windows vista and I had to unistall it because
it always chrashed when I was trying to assess my work Exchange 2003 outlook
web access. The web address as what IE says is a non-valid certificate
(https), since it is using a foreign certificate issuer not recognized by
internet explorer. The program allowed me to see to sign in to immediattly
crashing.

when using firefox with IE tab enabled (which uses internet explorer in the
background) to see the OWA properly it allowed me to see the left folder
list, but not to see any message at all.

Is this a known limitation?
