ie and firefox

I realise that when scrolling up and down on a page, especially when the
page has a heavy load with animations or so,
firefox has a smoother scrolling while ie is scrolling with small
interruptions.

In firefox you can see the content well while scrolling while in ie the
content is freezes shortly and then comes back, immediatly but irritatively.

I compared firefox 3 and ie 7 or ie 8.2.

ANy solution?
