How can I reset the "save password" dialog?
Hello,

I mistakenly told IE (6.0) that I didn't want to save the password for a
particular website, but I now would like it to be remembered.

How can I have IE re-prompt me again so that I can answer in the affirmative
this time?

Thanks,

Jon

Hi,
Option 1- usually works...
Download, install, run IE PassView-
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/interne..._password.html Delete data for
the site in question.

Option 2...
Use IE PassView to recover all stored passwords, then delete *all*
usernames/passwords from Internet Options> Content> AutoComplete.

Hope this helps,
Don

Remember passwords again.

IE-Tools-Internet Options-Content-Autocomplete and check "Prompt me to
save passwords"

For more options:
I said "no" to remembering a password. How do I make IE ask again?

Thanks, Alan, I went to the "Autocomplete" dialog and clicked the "Clear
Passwords" button, and while it didn't clear any of my other passwords, it
did cause IE to prompt me to save the password for that site again.

Thanks a ton,

Jon

Thanks for that link. There are some very useful other tools on that website
as well.

hi,

when you are on the website again , enter a different password , it should
popup again then...click 'yes' to the wrong password..then delete it & enter
the right password it should popup again telling you the password is
different do you want to save the changes & click 'yes' ...

this should work..best anne

also if you click on 'internet options' from the toolbar , then click
'delete' there should be a link there to deleting passwords with a help link
also...

this might work too..
