Internet Explorer 7 Screen goes black then comes back on

When I'm Using Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox my screen goes black for a
couple of seconds then comes back on. It does this only when using the web
browsers. It happens every couple minutes and sometimes a few times in a
minute. I can be typing a message such as this and can still type while the
screen is black? I have run ZoneAlarm and Bitdefender and found no viruses
and removed the spyware. When the screen goes black there is a soft clicking
noise when the screen comes back on. I have used other programs and the
screen stays on.
I have updated my videocard driver to fix this it didn't.

32-bit Firefox has no problem at all.
64-bit IE & is ok as well. Only 32-bit IE 7.
Turning off Protected Mode for 32-bit IE 7
definitely removes the lag.

So it's should not be the display card.

I hope it's not a backdoor for Micro$oft (or maybe the US
Government) to view my browsing activity. What do they
wanna watch if it's really a backdoor?
