cant open control panel or c:\ etc from IE7 address bar -worked in

Hi All

hope someone can help.

This was a really useful feature in IE6 as you could run IE6 with admin
account whilst logged on as a user with restricted permissions.

Any ideas if there is a way of enabling this is IE7?

It's another example of the separation of the browser from the OS.

However, the AutoSuggest list (AutoComplete for web addresses dropdown)
still shows file paths and any selected from there still open an Explorer window
for me, so YMMV.

BTW I don't think that I was ever able to open the Control Panel
directly from an IE window anyway.
