Clicking link Genrates 'Operation Aborted' error
Using Vista Home Premium with IE 7.0.6001.18000

And am current with Windows updates.

I have this intermittent problem that is beginning to occur more & more
often.

When I click on a link (any link) I get the following error with a RED X in
the error window.

Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site Http://whatever the address
is.

Operation Aborted.

After clicking OK I get this displayed in Explorer.

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:

· You are not connected to the Internet.

· The website is encountering problems.

· There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:

Diagnose Connection Problems

I have clicked on Diagnose Connection problem and it finds NO problem.

I have a good connection according to my isp and am able to get email, use
Skype and other programs that connect with no problem at all. i am only
having a problem with IE7

Please help.

Thank you

Re: Clicking link Genrates 'Operation Aborted' error
This is frequently caused by an incompatible browser add-on. The
troubleshooting steps described below will help you to diagnose and fix
the problem:

(Give the Guided Help a try.)

Problems with Internet Explorer can also be caused by the presence of
viruses or other malicious software.
