IE7 ISSUE / NEED MVP
I am tearing my hair out. I have searched for on this newsgroup and
others... and tried out every method to uninstall IE7 (NOT Beta) on my XP Pro
SP3. I've used Spuninst.exe, and it says "cannot find
%windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe"! And, yes, my hidden files & folders are
visible.
My last resort is to use Restore, but I have added lots & the thought of
going back to replace everything makes me ill.
Please help, hopefully by an MVP.
Thanks a bunch!

Re: IE7 ISSUE / NEED MVP
Hi,
If you installed SP3 while IE7 was installed you will have to uninstall SP3
then uninstall IE7.
See: IEBlog- IE and Windows XP Service Pack 3:

Hope this helps,
Don

Did you install IE7 before or after you installed SP3? If before, the only
way you'll be able to uninstall IE7 is to uninstall SP3 first.

Did you restart after uninstalling SP3, before uninstalling IE7?
What were the signs that IE6 was not restored after uninstalling IE7? Was
there an Internet Explorer folder in Program Files? Was iexplore.exe present
in that folder?
