The problem you are experiencing is due to a Skype add-on. To disable the
add-on, go to Internet Explorer in Tools/Manage Add-ons. You need to disable
any entries for Skype (there should be about 3 entries).
Skype will still work after you have disabled them

Yes, I have Skype, and yes, your instructions resolved the IE7/Vista problem for me. My problem was very easily recreated by hitting refresh several times. It would usually error on the 3rd or 4th time. After your suggestion with the Skype add-on, I've been refreshing the screen for at least 10 minutes and I can't get it to repeat the error.
