Hi,
1. You will probably not have Microsoft VM section in Internet Options>
Advanced, but if you do, uncheck all options under it. Make sure that Java
(Sun) is checked.
2. There may be a troublesome Java applet on your homepage. Does the problem
still occur with a different or blank homepage?
3. Start IE7 without add-ons from:
Right-click the IE icon on the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons.
or
Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
If the problem goes away, you have an incompatible browser add-on installed.
Start IE normally (add-ons enabled) then close it.
Go to Start> Control Panel or Start> Settings> Control Panel. Internet
Options> Programs> Manage add-ons. Disable all add-ons then re-enable them
one at a time (close and re-open IE after each change) until the troublesome
add-on shows itself. Leave that one
disabled or uninstall it or see if there's an updated version which won't
cause problems with IE7.
4. Try clean boot troubleshooting to find the troublesome program/Java
applet.

Windows Vista:

Hope this helps,
