o.g. Update wird nicht installiert, es erscheint folgender Hinweis:

Unter Programme sind folgende Updates eingetragen:
MSXML 4.0 SP2 KB927978/ KB936181/ KB941833

Nur das letzte Update vom verg. Dienstag KB954430
wird nicht installiert
Was kann ich tun?

In Start => Ausführen eingeben:
%Windir%\WindowsUpdate.log - danach [Enter]-Taste drücken.
Wenn die LOG-Datei angezeigt wird:
[Strg]+[Ende] drücken, um ans Ende der langen Datei zu kommen,
dann nach oben scrollen, um den Protokoll-Eintrag für 954430
zu finden. "0x80070003" bedeutet, dass eine Datei nicht
gefunden wurde, die für die Installation des Updates erforderlich
ist.

Versuche, das Update erneut vom Download-Center herunter zu laden:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...0-932c430abd14
Wähle beim Download der "msxml4-KB954430-deu.exe" *Speichern*,
nicht *Ausführen*! Klicke dann mit der rechten Maustaste auf die
heruntergeladene msxml4-KB954430-deu.exe und wähle im Kontextmenü
"Als Administrator ausführen".

Melde Dich wieder, ob die Installation funktioniert hat.
Wenn nicht, poste hier mal die Zeilen dazu aus der LOG-Datei.

[Alte Einträge vom 11.11.2008 aus Deiner LOG-Datei]
Diese Einträge bestätigen nur, dass das Update am 11.11.2008 nicht
funktioniert hat.
Sorry, habe inzwischen in den LOG-Dateien auf meinem VISTA nachgesehen
und festgestellt, dass hier das *englische* Update installiert wurde.
Versuche es noch einmal mit dem Direktdownload der
msxml4-KB954430-enu.exe:

Installation wie bereits beschrieben als Administrator.

Hallo Helmut,
ich habe definitiv nochmal das deutsche Update heruntergeladen
und installiert. In der Installer-Information wird bei der Information
"Neue Daten werden kopiert" die Installation abgebrochen und die
erwähnte
Fehlermeldung angezeigt.
Habe auch nochmal über die Windows Updateseite das angezeigte
"wichtige Update"versucht zu installieren- wiederum Fehlanzeige.
Soll ich ev. nochmals die gesamte %windir%\msxml4-KB954430-enu.LOG
posten?

Ist die denn vorhanden?
Bei mir wurde
msxml4-KB954430-enu
^^^^^
installiert - "enu" bedeutet "English US" - also muss das Update
in dieser Sprache installiert werden, denn VISTA ist grundsätzlich
ein englischsprachiges System.
msxml4-KB954430-deu funktioniert wahrscheinlich schon deshalb nicht,
weil beim Kopieren der Dateien erkannt wird, dass die Sprachversion
falsch ist.
