multiple printer installed after switching USB port

Hi,

I am using a printer which is connected via USB to my laptop. When I plug
the cable into a different USB port another driver is installed and marked
as a copy of the first. I then have the problem of not knowing which printer
to use when I am printing.

Is there a solution to where I always only see one printer in the print
dialog regardless of which USB port the printer is connected to?

Please advise.

Schreib's doch auf deutsch. Jemand (z.B. ich) könnte das dann ja
übersetzen...

Du kannst es auf deutsch verfassen, schließlich betreibt er
scheinbar eine Domain in deutscher Sprache (<http://spade.de/>),
siehe seine Mailadresse.
