Vista display driver

Hi All,
This is the first time I am posting to this community. Hope I will sound reasonable here.
My question goes like this:
How can I capture windows desktop data in vista?
In XPDDM one way of doing this is to right our own display driver then add the orignal driver within this driver so all the data passes through this but in vista it seems impossible. Though if aero is enabled a fakeuser mode driver can provide the similer kind of hacking but what in case of aero is disabled?

Please provide me some help for the same purpose or some link or document...
