Using Windows Vista for 2 years in beta and 3 months of using the RTM I
never had this problem before. I have a legally purchased Windows Vista
Ultimate license and until today it worked; now, the system reports that
"this copy of Windows is not genuine".
I have used this system since February, with no glitch, when I installed it
However Aero, ReadyBoost and other features that should have been
deactivated work seamlessly. When I go into Control Panel>System it says:
Windows is activated.
The system is up-to-date with Automatic Updates, permanently connected to
the net(broadband connection;T1 LAN), has AVG and Commodo Firewall.
This system is very important as it stores sensitive corporate information
as well as family photographs, videos and iTunes music library.
I have posted a screenshot of this problem on Flickr:
I can provide more information, if needed.
Should this issue produce loss of data, damage to the hardware equipment
should I consider contacting my legal advisor?
