Newbie with lots of questions....
I've never posted in any forum although I've probably read enough to make some go insane. Well I'm finally posting to one BC I believe I may go insane if I don't figure this out soon. I'm new to Vista and to Droids so I'm 10 different kinds of confused hut determined to do this. I originally had download updated drivers from Samsung.com onto my HP dv6000 model laptop so that I could sync my Galaxy S II Skyrocket to Kris. I've got the newest versions of Java and Kies installed and have found they are fully operational. After extensive research I've concluded that my drivers weren't correct when I installed them or I installed them wrong. So I dig into Google some more and I stumbled across multiple websites that say my S II isn't compatible with Vista... wtf???... so then I dig on the windows side of things and find that about half of what I've come across says its not compatible either but the other half claims I can install up-to-date drivers so that I can get it all synched and be on my merry way to DroidZen. I'm so confused and ready to throw my phone and laptop. BTW... running windows vista home premium 64 bit. Computer just had its hard drive wiped clean BC of a nasty virus that the previous owner caught while obtaining movies illegally off the net. Windows 7 is where I'd like to be but I can't put anymore money into this comp right now. Please someone, anyone.... help me. Or point me in the general direction atleast. I've also joined a Droid forum and posted this there so hopefully someone, somewhere has my answer I so desperately need. Thanks to all.
