Vista UAC prevents avast antivirus running
Hello, I'm brand new to the community and I would like to say in anticipation thanks for any effort you may put into helping me out. My problem is that I have had Vista for a few years now and I have always used avast as my anti virus software without problems. Recently though the UAC has stopped avast running at start up. I've tried right clickin the avast icon in start/programmes and choosing run as administrator but this has solved nothing. I have also un installed and re installed avast (using the avast un insatll software) still no change. I've checked my pc with malwarebytes and avast itself (boot time scan) and both came up clean. So I've used all the options I know, can anyone suggest anything else that I could try?
