Vista Briefcase Problem
Several minor problems I have had with Briefcase in Vista.
Firstly I have found out how to orphan files which is different to how it is done in XP.
Secondly, I drag some web pages into Briefcase so I can take them with me and while pictures from neighbouring folders aren’t copied across to briefcase all changes, changes are reinforced with the images.
However, several times I get an error regarding unable to copy over and something about ‘read only’ crops up. None of the files are read only so I don’t know why this is the case. It said ‘needs updating’ in Briefcase so I tried but there was no direct link to the original file and because of this I decided to try to orphan this file which I couldn’t do but can do now.
Does anyone know how I can get round this error with copying files into Briefcase and getting a read only error message?
