Windows Mail -Contacts crash- corrupted?
I have used Vista since last December and found the 'contacts' ok except for failed transfer of 'notes' from outlook express...no problem I can live with that loss.
What I cannot live with is the loss of draft emails when I mis-select a name from my contacts and click on it to delete - Windows Explorer stops working and closes with the loss of the email which I had drafted...very frustrating.
I have had this problem since the summer and avoided clicking on my specific contacts and simply enter my contacts name in the 'To' box, knowing full well that if I click on a contact, Windows mail will close down its contact page and any drafted emails with the famous statement " Windows Explorer is closing"
I have transfered all my addresses and emails and other stuff onto a remote hard drive and propose to insert my Windows Vista Recovery disc.
I suspect after talking to pc technicians that my W.Mail is corrupted and that my only option is to re-load my recovery disc - am I right or is there an easier way. I hope someone knows this one.
