A quick introduction and a question for all
I am a new member, and am not exactly sure if this is a Word issue or an IE setting but I will run it by to see what you all think. We have Vista Business and Office 07 on our PCs. On our intranet site, we have a HR site, which has links to common employee forms. Recently that site was updated to include 2 new Word (DOCX) documents. When I go to the site, I click on the form and the document just opens up in Word, however when most other users click on the link they are prompted to either open or save teh form. If the user chooses open, they will get the following message : " The file you are downloading cannot be opened by the default program. It is either corrupted or it has an incorrect file type." I have tried looking at my IE settings and my Word settings but nothing stands out. One site said this was an issue with MIME types and that would be fixed by SP1, however we already have that installed on our PCs. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks alot,
Nat
