Thanks for being here.
Well, Vistaheads, thanks for being here. I'm glad that I stumbled upon your site.
Let me introduce myself. I'm a 48 year guy who started getting into computers when I was 12. I'm a computer repair professional, self employed, and doing pretty well.
I don't have any preferences whatsoever concerning CPU's or OS's. If it's got a good design, then I like it. If it's fast (efficient), and technically excellent from a computing standpoint, then I like it. Simple as that. I think (all names with their respective trademarks apply here) that Microsoft Windows Vista rocks. I've never EVER had any real problems with Vista, either 32, or 64 bits. I am however, a multibooter. I don't know why the whiny babies who can't get a grip on the realities of computing and the computing industry don't wait until a product at least partially, matures with updates, hot fixes and patches. Hey guys and girls, try writing your OWN OS! It's hard man, really hard! And the Windoze products have been put through the mill, with millions and millions of hacking attempts and breaches. Don't blame Microshaft for the security foibles you're encountered! ANYTHING can be hacked, broken, and become so-called "flawed" or "exploited". Similarly, the same statements I've made, applies across the board concerning Mac OS, Linux, FreeBSD, Sun OS, or any other solid, mature, OS package out there. They're all good, and, they're all tasked differently from the start. On that note... I'll stop my lecturing.
I love computers, hardware, software, programming languages, electronics, and everything tech. ALL of these things have, personally, changed my life for the better (MUCH better in fact). I make a living doing computers, and I do it on my own. I've been at this for a really long time. And it does pay off! Hats off to the genius found in the scientists, coders, and engineers who've all made it possible. Thank you so much.. for sharing your vision with the "common person" around the world!
