help is needed with ms works 8

Hi there I'm new to this forum and haven't a clue how to get help with my problem. Can anyone help.
I recently had to recover my comp to factory settings. MS Works 8 came as part of the reinstall. I cannot use the works calendar as it says "I do not have the correct permissions to launch the calendar using a guest account, to launch the calendar log on using a non guest user account."
I already am logged on as administrator and that is my only account.
I cannot understand why this happens as I had no problem launching it before I recovered to the factory setting unless it was using easytransfer to transfer files and setting to a new computer. I did this to an external harddrive before recovery and transfered them back afterwards.
