Config.sys and Vista
My new (Vista) computer is the worst in 25 years. Hangs up at slightest whim. Message (too fast to read) says something about too many 16-bit users and to increase files in config.sys. I thought config.sys died out years ago with DOS. Anyway, there's no way to tackle the config.sys facility in Vista. Then again, I don't really know if that is the problem. This is an HP computer with all the standard junk, infinitely faster and bigger than my old Windows XP computer, yet it's a total flop, not even as reliable as an old 486. Can anyone help, please?
