New and Clueless
Just when I learned enough to get around in Windows XP I find myself using Vista.

I'm totally lost. So please bear with me when I post questions.

A bit about myself: I'm retired from the Department of Corrections, married five months short of 50 years, have two children, four grandchildren and two Yorkies.

I'm a writer. I've sold articles to Better Homes & Gardens, Calico Trails, Victims, and do monthly articles for my local UDC chapter. Two of my books are published books and dozens more rest in a sock drawer, waiting on a publisher. Currently I'm working on a two book series based on factual events.

However, my computer tries my patience and demands far too much of my attention. A new replacement from Dell came loaded, against my preference, with Vista. So, here I am, hoping to learn from you folks. If I sound clueless when I post questions it's because I am. Right now I can't even find files I save because the "my documents" folder isn't where I expected it.

What a blessing to find this group.

Bear with me, please.

Priscilla
