Vista Windows Mail url hyperlinks

Hi all
I'am new to this forum & looking foward to learning solutions from other members here.
I'am having a problem saving the defaults for Windows Mail.It now does not respond to url hyperlinks in mail messages although defaults were saved for this program.
I would appreciate some input to this problem....thankyou
