Hello Vistaheads!!

I work in IT and am looking at Vista with a view to trying to decide if it is stable enough deploy. I am running 32 bit Ultimate on an Athlon XP-M 2800 based test system. The problem I have is that all of a sudden it does not want to reboot, or rather it does but the monitor then goes to sleep. I have narrowed it down to a service causing this but it is proving very difficult to get to the bottom of. I could do with some further help to resolve this please?
