Help!!!

Hi
I am Lilian. I own a laptop which has windows vista installed.
I have a problem with Windows Messenger. There is this pop up that says that it is experiencing some error and shuts down. This error is 'a' null or not an object. Is this a virus?

What can i do to stop it?
