a new laptop - why did I do it?! so many problems! rundll32 and pcouffin
Hi. I recently purchased a Dell Studio 17 with Windows Vista. All was well until this week when the system kept showing pop ups reading that rundll32 is not functioning and will be shut off. Fine, I did some reading on the net and found that Vista always has issues with rundll32. I just keep setting it back to Administrator. (thats problem 1 - how can I stop the system from doing this?)
I thought with the huge space on this machine I could download a few films. I also download the Super converter to change the downloaded files from AVI to MPG. The downloads and converter have been working fine until today when I left the laptop burning a DVD. When I came back to the laptop, the System Restore programme was running saying there had been a problem while the system was running. I let it do its thing but then the laptop came up with another pop up saying that pcouffin needed sorting out. Some threads say that the pcouffin system is part of DVD converters (nobody has mentioned Super) and that it should be removed. But I want to continue using the converter, so I surely need the pcouffin?
If anyone could help with my list of problems please reply!!
