I'm a new poster on Vistahead. Just picked up an Inspiron 530 this summer for writing my dissertation. I utilize my school's online library quite a bit, but have been having trouble with connectivity. A comcast technician identified the "Ping -- General Failure" that others have mentioned in this forum. He thought that would be interfering with internet connection.

Generally I'm quite happy with VISTA. I've especially enjoyed using OneNote. I never had this software before.
