Hello-

Compaq Presario C502US w/ home basic bundled and installed w/ OEM COA.

Running AVG Free, COMODO Firewall Pro, Mozilla Firefox, and not much else. No games.

Started getting "An unauthorized changes was made to Windows" messages w/ error 0xC004D401. And the Control Panel went away. Started going in circles.

Did a System Recovery... dumped everything and reloaded from partition on C:

Started all over again. can't validate, no Control Panel, blah, blah, blah.

Are there compatibility issues with AVG, COMODO, or Firefox?

I'm about to download Linux!
