Vista is very slow

Hi there,

I have been fighting with Vista Home Premium 32-bit for over a year now and have been frustrated all the way along. Almost to the point of joining the other side (AKA Macintosh World.) I have resolved most of my driver issues now, but my biggest frustration now is how slow my Dell PC performs. It is a Dell Inspiron 9200 with a Intel Core 2 Duo CPU running at 2.13 Ghz and with 4 GB of RAM. The only apps I use are Microsoft Office 2007 and Simply Accounting. When I first boot up it takes forever for any apps to load and open.

Any ideas on how I can speed things up?
