Message stuck in outbox

I have a large attachment and email stuck in my outbox and cannot delete it. My internet provider, Microsoft anf HP are not interested in helping me! I have read the info on the blogs here but how do I know which version of Vista I have 32 or 64 bit to be able to download anything to fix the problem. Mine is the in store downloaded Windows vista home premium version, can anyone help. I would really like to be able to send emails again and have been frustrated at the lack of support from the various companies! I am not a computer expert!
