Having trouble with downloading software for data transfer

I just got a transfer cable from Gigaware to transfer programs and files from my XP PC to a Vista PC. The instructions say that the install CD will re-direct me to a Microsoft website to download the Companion software. When I am re-directed, the website says "the site cannot be found." I'm stumped. Does anyone know what to do?
