error code 80070490
An Old guy - with a new Laptop with Vista Ultimate trying to install SP1 . Well error code 80070490 has stopped me cold.
Emailed MSFT and followed instructions about 'clean boot' and downloading the file as a zip file (to keep from blocking their web site ?). Still get the same error code. Was asked to send zip files of sys issues.
Am still awaiting an answer.
Online suggestions are to reload/upload with original DVD.
WELL LENOVO does not send a seperate DVD for Vista.

Anyone have a sane suggestion ?
