Hope all is well. I hope to gain some knowledge concerning Vista and hope I can also contribute. I used RC1 for six months before Vista launched and purchased Vista Home Premium the day it came out.
Used it for 2 months and took it off due to driver compatibility problems and reverted back to XP. Asus was blaming Microsoft and Microsoft was blaming Asus.
Installed Vista again in Feb 2008. Had a few issues and needed a hotfix KB942435 and after that it has ran great! Until recently. Have Norton Ghost 12.0, Kaspersky 7.0. Backups were running fine until that last several weeks. I cannot run backup from Norton Ghost or Windows Backup due to VSS error. I can run the Norton Ghost Files backup, but not the computer backup.
I'm tired of fishing for an answer through Microsoft. I like Vista for the most part. So this is what I hope to gain in this forum and hope to be of some help to others.
