Hello from a new forum member

Hi,

My name is Chuck Brotman. I joined this forum to try learn how to deal with the all too numerous difficulties I've been having with Vista (Home Premium). I foundthe forum while searching for a solution to my latest problem, which is with ScanSoft's PaperPort. There is a thread on the forums here, but I saw no resolution. Has anyopne who has seen the "paperport has stopped working" message been able to resolve this problem????

paperport stops working in vista The solution I found worked for me.

is Start/Run (Type "msconfig") then disable all services in system configuration temporarily whilst loading a clean install of paperport.

Thanks for your reply! I think I may have done this already when working with Nuance support. But, it's certainly worth another try!

When you say "disable all services in system configuration" Can I correctly assume that you mean "all, except for the Microsoft services?"

I'll let the forum know how i make out
