Oh, How I miss XP

Hi, I'm new to this community and to Windows Vista. I have a Hewlett Packard D4160 printer that just won't print ! I've just bought this computer and it came with Vista already installed. I'm having a very hard time getting my printer to run. It tells me that the software has been installed, it shows that the printer is open. But it just sits there with NO printing . I don't know what top do. I'm computer illiterate ! Thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to help me.

I've solved to pronter problem. I reset the print spooler. Everything is working alright now.

Sorry about the earlier spelling. I intended to say that I had solved my printer problem I refreshed the print spooler !
