MCI error, videos power point

I have a problem with the videos in power point, when I want to see them the PC stays blocked, and says ""MCI error, the device have been blocked for seconds please wait"" the PC still blocked, and I have to shut down it to go on working, my videos are in AVI.
I need your help.

Hi aida de luca,

Welcome aboard, this seems to be a very common issue and from what I gather the problem lies within pp itself. Renaming the .avi's to .wmv or .mpg solves some viewing probs but have a look at this ppvDownload details: PowerPoint Viewer 2007..... supposed to be for vista
